Welcome to Calgary Wing Chun – Martial Arts Academy Inc. By accessing our website, registering for classes, or participating in any of our programs, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

• All memberships are billed on a 4-week cycle at a standard rate of $199 per cycle unless otherwise stated.
   
• Your initial payment of $149 as part of the Founding Members offer secures your spot and covers your first 4 weeks of training once the academy launches.
   
• Founding Member registration is part of a go/no-go launch model. If we do not meet our minimum enrollment, all deposits will be fully refunded.
   
• After the first 4 weeks, members will be automatically enrolled at the standard rate unless a cancellation notice is submitted (see Section 2).
   
• All members are expected to purchase and wear a Calgary Wing Chun school t-shirt for classes after their first month. The cost is $30, payable online and pick up at the academy - no shipping available.

• If the school does not officially launch by September 1, 2025, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.
   
• No refunds will be issued for canceled memberships once a billing cycle has begun.

• Payment Transaction and processing fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.

• To cancel a recurring membership and avoid being charged for the next cycle, you must notify us at least 7 days prior to your next billing date by email or through your member portal.

• Once classes have begun, all membership payments are considered non-refundable unless required by law.

• Students are expected to arrive on time and be respectful to instructors and classmates.
   
• Participation in martial arts involves physical activity and inherent risk. All students and guests (or parents/guardians of minors) must complete a liability waiver before participating.
   
• Calgary Wing Chun reserves the right to suspend or cancel participation for anyone whose behavior endangers the safety or well-being of others.

• Safety, respect, and discipline are core to our school’s values. Repeated misconduct, poor hygiene, or refusal to follow instructions may result in removal from classes without refund.
   
• Students are expected to arrive clean, well-groomed, and prepared to train. This includes:
   
• Fingernails must be kept short to prevent injury during contact drills.
   
• Personal hygiene must be maintained. This includes using deodorant, wearing clean clothing, and ensuring hands and breath are clean.
   
• No jewelry may be worn during class — this includes necklaces, bracelets, rings, large earrings, or watches — as they may pose safety risks to you and others.
   
• Some classes may require uniforms or protective equipment.

• Your contact information will be used only for school-related communication, including class updates, promotions, and scheduling.
   
• We will never share your personal information with third parties without your consent.

• All members (or a parent/guardian if under 18) are required to sign a Photo and Media Waiver as part of the registration process.
   
• Calgary Wing Chun – Martial Arts Academy Inc. may use photos or videos taken during classes, seminars, or events for promotional and educational purposes on our website, social media, and print materials.
   
• We will use all media respectfully and will never share full names or personal contact information.
   
• If you have specific concerns about media use, please contact us directly to discuss limited accommodations.

• We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page and take effect immediately upon publication.
